How Long We Retain Your Data

If you register on our website, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile and, where applicable, automatically register you on associated websites within our network.

  • This profile data is retained indefinitely so we can maintain your account, provide cross-site access, and preserve your contributions as part of the legacy-focused network.

  • All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username).

  • Website administrators on our network can also see and edit that information.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can:

  • recognize and automatically approve follow-up comments;

  • keep conversation threads intact as part of the historical archive of the site.

We may also retain certain technical logs and security-related data as long as reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, and service integrity.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site (or any associated sites in our network), or have left comments, you may request:

  • an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us;

  • that we erase any personal data we hold about you across our network of sites.

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes, or data that forms part of essential historical records where removal would significantly affect the integrity of the archive (in such cases, we may pseudonymize or minimize rather than fully delete, where allowed by law).

To make a data request, please contact us at info@worldlegacy.net.
